Description
(Sry, the pic is not very good... had to take it fast, because I couldn't leave him too long in the trap.)When I went into the cellar I saw a little mouse-hole in the wall.
Because no one in my family (including myself) is able to kill a little helpless mouse (they are just too cute
but this little guy wasn't as cute as I expected...
I expected it to be a house mouse, not a shrew... but that didn't really matter.
I released him in our garden.

A shrew?!?! I love these things! Such relentless hunters! I've only been able to get one photo of a shrew, ever. Too damn fast! Awesome little guy, I kinda want one as a pet.

Even the one in our cellar never stood still... when I saw her, she was always running around. She was so fast, I couldn't even see what mouse it was, not until I caught her in the trap

Well, they do have one of the fastest metabolisms in the world. All of that energy has to go somewhere.

Good luck with that. The plus side is that you're probably insect free right now.

Aaw, shrews are adorable, and very useful. They eat lots of insects that might otherwise ruin your garden.
