I haven't seen pictures of older Hinata from the manga yet. I look forward to that day, because Hinata is awesomely awesome. ...though I would appreciate a manga storyline where she, for example, wins a fight or something. I get the feeling Kishimoto doesn't quite appreciate his female characters...

I've been trying to catch up with the anime right now, which is difficult as the filler is terrible. Anyway, it seems to me that whichever female is with the group Naruto is inexplicably hanging out with is completely useless, and cries if someone tries to fight her. Kind of annoying, to put it lightly.

Oh great, I was hoping the lame filler writers would redeem themselves 0.001% by writing in some female characters kicking ass and winning fights, but I guess not. I mean, these girls are training to be NINJAS, they ought to be able to fight. And they definitely shouldn't be crying instead. O.o;; (Although it's my personal opinion that Sakura should give up already and become a hairdresser.)
Kishimoto writes female characters who seem like they should be kickass (Anko comes to mind), but then he ignores them in favor of Amazingly Powerful Angsty Orphan Boys instead. (Not that I don't appreciate powerful, angsty orphan boys.) After awhile it gets annoying. He should at least show some variety there. Rantrantrant. (Temari saving Shikamaru <3 from Tayuya was somewhat mollifying, however.)
I was going to succumb to the lame filler because Inoshikachou showed up in the last filler episode I watched, but now watching the least filler possible is sounding like a better and better idea.
Yes, I have a lot to say on that topic. GO, FEMALE NARUTO CHARACTERS! KILL!!

At least Kishimoto creates fairly interesting female characters who SEEM like they would/should kick ass*...but then he doesn't let them do anything, which is annoying.
