Description
Another in a series of pics I took with a long exposure, some fire implements and some other light devices. The silhouette effect was created simply by placing someone between the sparks and camera.Related content

Not really. I just classed these pics as in fireworks as it was closest to what they were. It's actually a bit of wire wool inside a metal egg whisk with a piece of string tied to the end. Just light the wire wool, spin it round and it sparks. Have a camera on long exposure to capture it and you get this result.
But make sure that if you do it, that there's nothing that can catch fire!

Can't say I've ever thought about messing around with fuel. Could be rather dangerous with sparks shooting out allover the place.

Can't say I'm planning on playing with gasoline, although not too sure whether it would work. Although my fiance does fire poi, so maybe some of the fuel she uses with that. We'll see how the photo's work.
