Thought you meant that, just didn't want to jump to conclusion. Being German, I've no admiration for Nazis myself. Still, I appreciate guns for guns sake. So, I can still say that the Fg42 is an interesting (albeit flawed design... at least I heard that it was too heavy for its role as a paratrooper weapon).

First off, I do apologize. AS I was typing that, I realized I stepped across a line with you. Me being Jewish can definitely empathize in the hated of that group. (I have a game on the iPod that has a WWII German weapons add on that I will never play with.)
The ONLY thing I will commend that group with is how advanced they developed weapons and technology for warfare. They minimally gave birth to the modern assault rifle, as well as modern air warfare. To be honest, I never knew they also created a side fed firearm. Growing up I was always aware of the Sterling submachine gun (thank you, young George Lucas for the Imperial Empire combat rifle!) and then the Sten, but not the Fg42.

I just wanted to clarify, that, altho I'm German, I don't like Nazis any better than the rest of the world. They just had some very cool gun designs (Germany was after all considered one of the most technologically advanced countries).
