Even in the future, I would prefer the normal XM8 over the bullpup configuration.

Now this bull pup model is a challenge but this I have been waiting to see . The purpose of the XM8 is to be easily converted on the field into one of its many models; compact, LMG, and sharpshooter variant, also the grenade launcher mount. Im pretty sure a bullpup model of this weapon would be restricted to the standard AR variant.

Not necessarily... all you need is some kind of quick-change barrel system.

well for the compact it needs more or should i say less lol, and for the LMG since it uses a double drum mag it would be kind of hard to use. But those are the only two variants that I find would be problem. Not saying that there is no solution, or that there is anything wrong with the idea of it.
