The visor should incorporate the the dark transparent material present on the storm trooper helms. The visor with a slit with due to a lack of ballistic grade transparent material t the time. Also bolts on the articulation are not needed for welding and a mass production simplification would take effect.

Also ammunition pouches and storage of battlefield devices should be present on the armour as standard issues yet streamlined enough for vehicle mounted and dismounting. Both of these features are not present on medieval knightly armour for overwhelming melee weapons were used on the battlefield and they require no ammuntion nor did knights arrive and leave battle in enclosed armoured personal carriers.

I would recommend four layers for a standard suit of sci-fi war fighting armour.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First layer is much like typical clothing acting a intermediary between the skin a the second sealed layer of anti-biological weapon suit. The first layer could include temperature regulation for extreme cold (decompression in spacecraft) and cooling for extreme heat as well and to also extend the operational condition of the regular foot soldier in prolonged engagements with a temperature controlled suit (to avoid sweating to death). Small flat patches in rigid area of the body can be used to allocate the small discrete devices to maintain cooling and heating operation of the innermost layer. The controls of which should be able to interfaced from the front the body (chest, thigh arm etc). The head would be enclosed much like a scuba suit yet the face would be open.

Second layer I alluded to would be a flexible durable anti-biological weapon membrane / flexible armour layer (the black under layer almost like hi-tech leather). This would be to protect against nerve against, radiation and highly volatile particles that can be exposed to the soldier in the field of battle. Ridging around the limbs and joints can also increase durability while retaining high angles of movement. Thicker patches can be used to incorporate into a slim interchangeable back processor / broad filter. The head would be completely enclosed with a slim contoured fit flexible helm et much like a thin vehicle operating headpiece much akin to armour vehicle operating head gear (durable, able to cushion blows to the head).

Finally the third layer of the armour would comprise the the hard sleek ballistic surface that is a result of extensive battlefield experience as allotted to an aggressive inter galatic empire. A hardy outer shell with articulating joints to facilitate movement yet rigid where ever allotted to increase survivability of small arms fire and explosive forces. Much like the renascence armours of our historical past. For example a bevor / gorget would be in order for explosive and high impact protection. The armour should be sleek as if also streamlined to avoid cling and catch from maneuvering in tight spaces and dense vegetation. The plates should be multi layered much akin to modern heave vehicle armour (composite layered materials - can be seen on battle damage much like multilayered clothes when ripped) have a modular ability to be quickly field swapped when compromised. With high precision rapid manufacturing be present in the high future tech advanced geometry is possible and modularity and standardized components can be achieved. Integrated communication device should be incorporated into the helmet (head up display inside the visor) and arm ('smart wrist') to facilitate rapid communication and fast acting group tactics and mission awareness. Also allied soldiers can asses the vitals and track the last whereabouts of a fallen soldier via these on suit armour commutation devices. Also very useful for command to asses post battle data to plan future engagements.

A fourth optional layer (almost akin to sci-fi 'jousting armour') for advanced battlefield and intensive combat operation a modular slim contoured power-armour exoskeleton should be in order to bring light vehicle mounted weapons into full person portable operation of rapid and dynamic implementation upon the battlefield. A modular jet pack and heavy blast armour (much akin to WW1 machine gun nest soldier armour) should be an option. Urban warfare would require heavy shock troopers with modular increased mobility of light vehicle weapons such as automatic guided missile launchers and minigun anti-material laser weapon platforms as well as single use anti-heavy vehicle weapons (2 ton anti-ship laser fired from the back on a mobile exosuit). This would much be like humanized modular features attached to regular combat armour. Autonomous heavy battle mechs, tanks and drones and battle vehicles would be the main stays of rapid and devastating firepower in main theaters of war. In this setting soldiers would be heavily suited up in command of a small detabment of mass produced war robots when an engagement begins. Much like a modern armoured fighting vehicle commander but the modules of the vehicle are independent, interchangeble and can be replaced in combat with reinforcements. Much like modern evolving mosaic warfare tactics. In the future robots can be built faster than humans can mature into war fighting soldiers. It would make sense to train human soldiers as robot commanders for they cannot be hacked while the robots can. If the human (and direct battlefield human command chain) has a short range encrypted kill switch to the robots in its detachment it acts as an insurance policy of sorts as well as great improvised reactionary tactics from the human mind while the robots can be used for hyper aggressive operation when needed without the hesitation of act if it where human lives on the line. War ground robots almost like more economic cruise missiles; no human risk to operator and also reusable for multiple engagements.

Interesting that you made them uneven. I know that was common on Gothic armours, but I always saw it more as an Italian style. I like it!
