I shall probably go with the second Sallet design and make further developments on that. I thought the Burgonet would look pretty cool as well. Let me know on your thoughts

Yeah, the guy I'm working with on this wanted a more Gothic style than anything else. It does look pretty mean, but I suppose it has been seen a lot by the historical audiences. Ah well, it'll be cool to see it in a final render

So are you going with sallet 2 then? I think sallet 1 would be a good choice, as it's a really nice blend of historical sallet and sci-fi helmet.

Personally I think that the Sallet 2 helmet looks a bit too boring, and I've also seenway to many of those. I must agree that the Burgonet looks pretty sick but I would prevere the Armet over all other to keep it realistic and simple.

You are right, it has been seen a hell of a lot in a historical context, although I have yet to see a proper one used in tv or film. This is why I was thinking of the burgonet style, because it hasn't been seen much. I might have to adapt the sallet to make it look a little different or original.

You could change the Burgonet helmet to make it look more like one of those stormtrooper scout helmet from the old imperial age. Might look quite decent tbh.

The burgonet is really, really well done. If I were to choose, I couldn't resist turning the 16th century black-and-silver armour around

All of the above look really good, but if I was a squaddie I'd definitely go for sallet 2 it looks like it gives more protection to the back of the head and neck

Yup, the Sallet is great overall protection, and easier to produce. I am working on Sallet 2 at the moment and will demonstrate the articulated tail in a quick side sketch.
