Shy is the word for snow leopards, I think.Β I don't think there have been any documented cases of snow leopards attacking people, unless it is an attack of cuteness as represented here.

They're definitely elusive, and given how much space there is in the Himalayas (and how few people there are there), running away from people is probably always the easier option than attacking. Not much you can do about those cuteness attacks though.

Happy to hear it. Snow leopards and clouded leopards are kinda tied in my mind for the most beautiful coat. Can't go wrong with either.

snow leopards and camera Shy? After my experience they love the camera.
Maybe this Snowie just wanna to play to the gallery.
(maybe i have translated this wrong: I have looked out for "In szene setzen" in the dictionary, and that was what come out, hope this is right)

Yup, it translated well. This snow leopard was new to the zoo, so she was very shy around people. The first time I visited, she would not even come out of her cave, and this past trip, she only came out after most other visitors had left the zoo. I am sure she will play to the gallery more as she gets more comfortable with her new environment.

being new in the neighborhood is always difficult, but she has this rare feature of this total black nose, this is cute.
(Snow leopards normally has a pink andΒ black framed nose)
