Description
For whatever reason, I'm a bit short on fullbody snow leopard images. Got this one a while back of this girl sitting on a log and never managed to post it.Snow leopard, Sacramento Zoo.

What an absolute stunner. Probably my favourite of all cats! Fantastic shot!

They're definitely up there on the list for me as well. Glad you like the shot!

I vote that "The girl sitting on a log" should be the title here. She is such a beauty! I am amazed at the clarity of the fur. It makes me imagine that I could just plunge my fingers into it.
I've only seen a snow leopard once when I volunteered at the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, FL. Majestic doesn't begin to cover it.

Thanks. I really try to keep the quality of my submissions high, because I'm the exact same way about seeing details in the fur. The more detail, the better.
Very cool about the Big Cat Rescue! I'd love to be able to get up close and personal with the cats, even if it was just to clean up after them.
Working at a sanctuary would be an experience you just can't get as a photographer at a zoo.

Your aim to capture these types of shots really shows!
Actually, when I volunteered (via a gift from my friends who knew how much I love big cats) we weren't allowed to linger more than a couple of minutes near the enclosures. Most of the volunteers happily moved on but I felt a little disappointed. I so wanted to sit quietly (perhaps even meditate) and soak up the view of my favorite cats. I completely understand why the employees there don't want anyone meandering on their own. I didn't visit the sanctuary often enough for the staff to know me personally well enough to know I'm not a nutcase who would risk my own or others' life and limb by doing something idiotic.
