Thank you! I do love this ship. I still have the polar lights 1/350 version to build. I'm just a little bit afraid of starting it. Many, many hours of painting alone.

Yep, mine too! While I love The Wrath of Khan, the red phasers always looked like they belonged more to Star Wars. The blue phasers you show look much better.

Yeah, I think the colour blue seems more energetic than red. The blue stars are hotter than red giants! Colour temperature is also indicative of more energy in blue!

So that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

I guess the only time I remember the phasers, in the refit Enterprise, it was in Star Trek II. And they were probably orange or something. I just like the blue light colour, from the original series.

The phasers of the refit enterprise were red-orange, and they were only seen in Star Trek II.

I agree, though, the light blue color looks much better!
