Day 15:
Day 15 and it's possibly for one of the most deservedly well-known 'Lockers out there: YinDragon
First off, if you haven't read it, then you'd better read it NOW. Head onto his gallery and read it start to end!
What can be said about Yin? Fantastic art, check. Hilarious comic? Check. Interesting and fantastic characters? Check checkity-check! There's a lot going on and it's all fantastic. Drawing style first, and it's killer! Have you seen it? IT LOOKS SO GOOD HOLY CRAP! Everything about it is fantastic! The style walks a fine line on manga-style and cartoon and Yin absolutely knocks it outta the park! Those facial expressions are always fantastic, especially on Charlie; the kinda-dopey, suddenly-hardcore faces usually have me smiling for days and it nails the tone of what's going down, without being overly silly!
And the comic is hilarious! I'm sure you've read it, you'll know what I'm talking about! Fantastic dialogue (Pecks is probably my favourite for that!), great drawings and freaking CHARLIE SHEEN REFERENCES! That shit made me laugh my arse off the first time I saw it, and it's still hella funny now! And Ken himself... what a bloody legend! He's definitely got some moments there!
And the characters... I don't think I even need to say that they're all great! He worked Bill onto his nuzlocke team (legally too!) and it makes for so much hilarious chemistry between everyone! Plus, Pecks, Charlie, Puff, Levi... Need I go on? And whenever there's a serious moment, which are becoming more frequent with Ken's backstory (which is really interesting btw) it handles it maturely, and keeps the flow of the entire thing.
I freaking love Yin's work, and what's not to love, really? One of the most popular and well-loved nuzlocke artists around, and for bloody good reason!
I decided to draw Ken, Charlie and Bill, all donned up for Christmas! (remember how they were Christmas drawings? Funny, that...) This took me freaking ages because I spent like... 3 hours trying to decide what to do. So I did this, it looks good, I gotta sleep. That's why there's no shading, because I'm SO TIRED.
