I don't think it's so much having to smile all the time but if you never smile people are always going to think you don't know how. Or...maybe that you are always sad. I mean, people on the interwebs have no room to say anything because they don't know you. Maybe you thin you only take good pics when you don't smile or maybe you just want to hide you teeth. Maybe you smile all the time when you're with your friends. But what you give the people of the internet is what they are going to use to form their own opinions of you. That's the sad thing about the internet.

its really in real life like when youre sitting there thinking or whatever, people always assume your sad. they never think about the fact that people don't have to smile every second.

Yeah, same story here. In my opinion a smile is like an exclamation point - if you use it by default it doesn't emphasize anything.

I love this, because it's so real and I can relate. People ask me all the time why I look like I'm about to kill someone, when I'm normally not really thinking about anything. Or when I'm thinking about kittens or sunshine or whatever I'm going to do after work. Lately when people ask me what's wrong, I say, "I'm not sad or upset--that's just my face."

Wow, I thought I was the only one. On the day of my high school graduation, my friends said I looked upset...well, according to them, I always look upset, so why do they always inquire that I look sad?

Very true, happens to me all the time. People always ask me if something's wrong because I seem 'sad' or 'upset', when really nothing is wrong at the moment.
