This is quite possibly my favorite trek ship design, even if it was supposed to be for a show which never got off the ground and not star trek.

The description of the original show sounds a lot like what eventually became "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda". I guess I'm happy it eventually got absorbed into Trek, but I always think of it as an original design in its own, unique background. I'm an old-timer, that way

Interesting. Did you know that the Daedalus Class was also another proposal? But besides the sphere, the rest of the ship looked upside-down.
