I heard that the Archer-class class can land in a Constitution-class hanger bay.

I never ran the measurements, but I think it'd be too tight a fit to try... IF you could even wedge it in there.

Archer-class:  Length 45 meters
                         Width 22.5 meters
Height 9 meters (3 cramped decks)
                         Crew of 14

I think, after studying the schematics, it would fit, but only just.

Again, I wouldn't want to be the one to try it

Kirk might, though he'd be risking the wrath of Scotty

Very nice work! It would be great to see this model here in full 3d - you could upload it to Sketchfab, and then embed it in full 3D in your journal here on DA: sketchfab-3d.deviantart.com/jo… .

Are they to the same scale?

Indeed they are!
Yup - that's a tiny scout ship.

Yeah, I went and did some reading on it.  Wouldn't think a ship that small would have the endurance for long-range scouting missions

I would hate to be a captain of a ship that tiny e-e

I think it would be exciting, personally.  I'm just not sure what the mission profiles would look like

Read the Star Trek Vanguard series of novels; both these ships, the Endeavour and the Sagittarius are leading starships in the Vanguard books

The Sagittarius may be small, but it's an awesome ship with a great crew. Their mission profiles cover scouting, general exploration, and troubleshooting. It's much-loved by fans

OOh, very nice.  Can we bribe you for an autographed copy if we can't make it to Maryland? I've got some of those special edition Girl Scout Crunch bars....

RobCaswell In reply to Taka67 [2014-07-28 15:15:55 +0000 UTC]

I think these are getting scooped up fast... but you could check on eBay after the con! I'm sure some will creep in there

It looks like the deal may be "buy both books and show us, and we'll give you a free poster". But if you bought Seekers 1 before the con, just bring it with you and present both when you buy #2 (which we're hoping will have an early release for the con).

I just did a 13 hr trip both ways recently. It's long enough. Plus, hassle at the border (everyone's a criminal and terrorist, dontcha know) and lack of funds
