I love how this is Sawyer's "intelligencia" Star Trek book. It's no secret that he's a huge ST fan, and this book is a fun take off on Starfleet and a ship that is run by all the races in the union.

I think few SF writers AREN'T Trek fans. Just not all easily admit it

Nice clean illo, very useful in trying to understand the locale of the novel. I'm not a big fan of the design, but you've very clearly and accurately depicted the ship as the author described it.

Maybe a bit too clean, but it seemed that's what the job was calling for. It's still far more detailed than earlier printed versions.
