Why not, if their sensory input to the pilot is solid and complete? Heck it could even be MORE safe?!

it takes 25 years to make a decent combat personal but less then a few weeks to make a droneΒ no phone call no payments no personal drama just a drone that can be killed more us combatΒ capableΒ peopleΒ kill themselvesΒ than die in combatΒ

True, and also computers are more vulnerable than a person; they can be hacked, get a virus, have all kinds of problems, and are also much more expensive to replace and repair.

Interesting contrast with the UAV. The display in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum has very similar craft
This explains the UFO sightings over Area 51

Really.... I wonder what UAV the Smithsonian has. I haven't been there in years. I need to get back down there soonish.

these aren't real existing planes, right?
however, that plane in the middle looks cool. I like its texturing a lot (and of course the little guy behind the window )
And sure I love the beautiful blue planet below everything.
And I wonder about the secret of that one bright blue light on the ground... are they targeted?

Blue light? Ah! The lens flare artifact. Yeah... I probably should have taken that bit of it out. It's a bit distracting
You know what they say, "The way to a woman's heart is through the little men behind windows!"

This will become a classic for sure!

Glad that you like it. Maybe I'll do some more with the subject. It's a neat vehicle.

Yep! I think he even reused the geometry for the engines. So yeah... more of a "tactical" than "strategic" vehicle, I s'pose.

I like it. What captures me however is the atmosphere, cloud layer and ground below. Is this a stock photo or cg? Great job!

Yep, 2D photo background. I'm sure rendering such an awesome background would give my little PC a cyberstroke

Wow, square flying saucers. Bankless turns. Great composition.

Hm. Can a "flying saucer" be "square"????
Not sure if that's a question for aerospace engineers or a philosopher?

Amazing piece of work! I really like the formation concept and the background is outstanding. Love the attention to detail with the jet exhaust. I love Fire Angels stuff, Grabbed this as soon as it came out just haven't had a chance to play with it yet. Glad to see that it renders awesomely!

Yeah, FireAngel's work is usually well designed and a bargain, at the price. He includes so many options, too! Don't forget to grab his free Flying Tigers texture for the bird on ShareCG!

already grabbed it too, if he releases half the free textures that he did for the fireghost it is going to be a huge set of textures. Might have to work on a image of with both of those myself.

You bet, definitely a workable idea. It's not too far off current designs, except for the engine pods.
