Ah... this makes me miss track already. i don't think i'll be running this year. Great picture though. I like the richness of the color of the track Great job-Steve.

Hehe god bless saturated colors
And that's about it.
The composition here doesn't work as well because the main subjects (the numbers 3 and 5) are cut away. It is a normal photo with a composition that just doesn't work as well. If you selected the numbers farther down the lines that are seen in the DOF (2, 3 and 4), and selected a diagonal composition with those ones, it would have worked much much better.
Or at least that's just me

this is a very nice shot, but i don't know i think i would have cropped it a little more at the top so that all you see is the tracka dn the only non track part is the grass at the side. but hey, that doesnt really matter is still cool, very vibrant, well done!

That looks so aweseome with the lines and numbers to brake it off... the colormix with red/green/white is excellent in its composition...
I'm starting to think that running out of ideas was a good thing for you, because this is stunning! great photo m8

Being a swimmer, or a sportsperson, I totally understand the meaning of standing behind the blocks and just having that adrenaline rush...this photo gives me that rush too! Awesome shot!

I love the colors in this one!!! They are so vivid and thefade into darkness at the bottom makes for a rather dramatic effect. My only critique is that the track slopes down at the very top of the photo, and I think it might look better if you rotated this a little so that it were parallel with the border. Of course, if that messes up the angle of the 4 (which should be and seems to be perfectly vertical), then never mind. I'm just being super nitpicky today.
Once again, great job.

You take into account every aspect of the artistic process and I have to wonder if you do it purposely or automatically. I like that the arrow below the three is not included in the frame, gives the illusion of the arrows starting above the four (in the center of the frame) and continuing upwards. Simply beautiful composition!!

amazing. Your angle and the light were just right, and that is really a cool trick you used around the edges. I ran the 400m last year as a senior in highschool, trust me, sometimes that's the way it really looked! Which brings me to why I like it so much, to me it shows much more than just a track, it is complete exaustion, where everyday objects start to leave behind their everydayness and your mind cannot place anything where it ought to be.

I can't critique this. It's just so interesting and full of unique ideas. The yellow arrow and white numbers/pathing makes it almost look 3d. Is that brick dust? If so, How'd you make it stand out so?

A very nice concept piece. It ties in with the title very nicely. The colors are vivid and the lines crisp. The perspective is nice and different, too. Well done.

The color is what really draws me into this, but it has great contrast, and I love the texture and the curved lines. It really adds a lot of interest into this photo, and makes it very pleasing. It would make a good print.
