Description Spiderman Sketch Cover Commish WIP 02

Step 02: Drawing the actual lines lol I transferred my layout onto the sketch cover with a printer, saves me fro light boarding, just make sure you do a few test prints cause if it prints the wrong way.. yur hosed.

I'm recording the drawing process so I'll upload that to YouTube next week

Nice. It must be difficult to draw on that surface, is it shiney? I'm really looking at your TUFF STUFF eraser. My supply ran out, the local store ran out and now I wait I wait for an online order.

I buy my Tuff Stuff refills thru Dick Blick ,don't have a problem ordering there. And yah its a little too smooth, easy to smudge.

See, I thought that about the one on the right. But the bottom one has a shadow that looks like a E-knife. lol I know it's not, but it still looks like one.

Soo this may be a dumb question but did you send the whole book through the printer that seems very tricky, or is it just paper with the cover images printed on along with the layout??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RobDuenas In reply to CodyCurtin [2012-09-20 16:17:36 +0000 UTC]

the printer has a flatbed roller in the front, so feeding it thru isn't the problem, the problem is making sure the orientation is right. For some reason the printer flips things around everytime I reboot, so I run a couple test copies, also to adjust the lightness of my lines. Best part about the process, is that if I erase a mistake my orig sketch is still underneath.

Thats really cool what kind of printer do you have? does it have an 11x17 scanner?

What a great idea! Thank you for that! I HATE drawing the initial sketch on those variants! Scared I'll screw it up!

This is looking RAD, btw!
