Description Here is another example of how things get worked and reworked for show. I did a Mosaic test last year and the response was good, Image liked it, but there wasn't anything super exciting about it. I had to take a break to finish school and when i came back to finishing the rest of the issue I took a good hard look at what was done ans self critiqued it to death. In the end I redid the art and decided to find a colorist who could help me out, I just don't have et he time to draw and color a book (mad props to those who can you're better artist than me). I met Diego while looking for a colorist on another book thats shipping later this year, he offered to test and I loved the work so much I pushed to et him on the project, but as it happens these things have many people making decisions and the company decided to go another direction. I asked Diego if would like to work on this, albeit it I would have to pay for the color as right now iI have no budget, but he showed exceptional skills to me and a look that wasn't; currently out there imo. So far its been awesome, we got a DD out of it and Adam (the writer) is speaking to a few publishers out there. I have about 4 more pages to finish before I'll stop and wait for a contract to go ahead, but they just happen to be the hardest things I have ever drawn... EVER. Cant wait to show'em to Diego

Just goes to demonstrate you how a story can be condensed visually, the splash pages shows sooooooo much.

Thanx!! Yeah it just took more planning, I'd like to say I'm a "natural" at drawing but theres an awful lot of prep on my part, the details/noodling is the easy stuff, layout is the hardest for me, just figuring out the storytelling. One of the reasons I like clothing design is you only have one image to tell your story with so it's helped alot with this kind of stuff.. tho right now i'm laying out 22 pages of stuff and MY GOD... I need a cup of coffee...

Lol, yeah I understand you, there's always that nagging voice in the back of your head asking 'can I show this a better way?'.
But, in my opinion if you keep doing what you're doing you'll at least have one extremely happy spectator. ^_^

Another thing I'm interested in is your line work do you trace in Flash, what program do you use? You have some good line work.

No no flash tracing thats just my pencils, I have a very sharp lead holder HB lead. Only inks I've done are in my tattoo art and the Horzemenstuff is simple MicroLine .05 an 03 pens.

Pretty impressive, I haven't inked work by hand for some time now. The computer has made me very lazy. I'm going to try that, I'll see what happens...

Gah. This is awesome. x3 Is this all the planning you did, or just like, the big chunks? Whenever I have to do something with more than one character I go through a freaking ream of paper before I start touching the final composition. xD

Hey, any idea where I could look for a job as a colorist?? I love doing it, and it'd be great to work with an artist doing JUST coloring, drawing isnt' exactly my strongest suit.
