Description
An idea for a Mars colony flag for the German Empire.The design relies on the design of the Imperial War Flag and contains elements of the War Flag of the Third Reich.
The colors of the flag are those of the empire. The red background color represents the color of the red planet. The cross of the original flag has been altered to now display an arrow representing the astronomical symbol of Mars. Due to the shape of the flag, I chose a horizontal arrow instead of the angled arrow in the symbol. The black cross obviously represents the military of the Empire.

I know; I acknowledged that in the description. However, this flag is still very much in line with the AH timeline it is presenting. The colours (red-white-black) are still the colours of the empire, with red being the prominent colour on this flag, due to the colour of the planet Mars. The Arrow and octagon are referring to the astronomical symbol of Mars, while integrating these elements into the Imperial War Flag.
