Description
After suffering some creative burnout where it comes to my main Champions Online hero, Atomac, creating a new teen hero concept has surged to the top of the list of things I've been working on. Some brainstorming with buddies later, and this is the result.

While in the end Powerline is a through-and-through hero, his origin is mired in the stigma of his (rather unwilling) participation in crime. Falling into employment under a mobster with a retinue of hand-picked superhuman lackeys, he was ordered to use his abilities to commit several acts of thievery before getting caught-- either on purpose to redeem himself, or because his boss abandoned him for failure. (Lots of this story is still work in progress.)

The young man behind Powerline's mask was originally a normal human being, but was granted brokered powers by an unknown means available to his former associate. Powerline's speed and reflexes have been advanced to superhuman levels, and he also able to generate and control electricity. It is also possible for him to completely convert his body into an electric form for a short amount of time, but doing so causes Powerline to be unable to think reflexively while he is in that state.
