These days the Warholian-style pop squares are unnervingly imitated by, well, the thousands. And while that fact in itself is rather Warholian, the style has lost much of its original impact. That's not the case with this piece. As a matter of fact, it's really profound.

Presenting 'The Dictators' in a pop format effectively pushes home the 'cult of personality' aspect of each one. The pallet color choices also present moods reflective of the social impact these 'pop stars' created during their reign.

This is a fine example of how cliche can always have an impact if done with smarts.
