You might have already seen my first painting in this series:I don't really think the Predator would, could or should 'kill' Darth Vader (I like both characters) - but I simply wanted to create something that wouldn't look out of place on the cover of a comic book. My goal is to have something published so I'm trying to create images that show I have what it takes!
This was drawn in Photoshop using a Wacom pad. To create the Predator's cloak effect I drew him in silhouette on a separate layer then added some glow and stroke effects. Then I reduced the opacity and 'drew' in the details of his costume using the eraser on a low opacity.
This is fan art of characters I don't own the copyright to (Star Wars belongs to Disney/Lucasfilm and Predator belongs to Dark Horse and/or 20th Century Fox?) so it's not for sale or reproduction. This is a very low res version of the original.

I can only think of one reason why Vader is some what messed up. A Predator that has some Force powers which allows it to resist/fight Vader's force attacks.

Β Very interesting idea, but the moment that Vader sees that he's cloaking, he'd lift him off the floor, Force Choke him, and slice him to pieces. And if he uses that cannon in desperation, Vader would simply deflect it, and blow the Predator's chest out. A Predator is good, but without any cortosis, he's out of Vader's league.

Predator might be strong but the Force allows to manipulate and sense things... even if hidden he surely can sense the Alien and get the deathgrip on him ^^

This is sick. i personally think predator might be able to stand a chance because a big trait of predator is adapting and i think he could adapt to the lightsaber and find a way around itΒ

Thanks (and welcome to DA)... I'm a big fan of the Predator - so I like to think they might stand a chance against Vader especially if, let's say, they were somehow immune to the force - in which case it would be a straight-up physical battle which I think Vader would find an interesting test!

Is it weird that I could see that, cause if I could a comic about this, Iβd either make it where the Predator can wield its version of the Force or, like the Yuuzhan Vong, comes from outside the known Star Wars galaxy which would make it immune/resilient to most of Vaderβs Force-based abilities

yes I like both characters too.Β They both awesome!Β Not sure if the predator has much of a chance though, it depends on the experience of that particular predator, and in the movies I seen, I only seen young predators in action.Β No idea how skilled the older ones are.Β But Darth Vader is strong in the dark side of the force, and he has a light saber too.Β Even if the Predator uses that plasma cannon, Vader would just hit it right back.

I agree - I don't think a Predator would have a chance against Vader - but my main intention was just to try to show how Vader might look if he went up against someone (anyone) who could pose a serious threat to him. I could have put my own character in the place of the Predator - but I thought that it was better to use something that people would recognise.

And I think you did great in that regard.Β The Predator is capable of being threatening to Vader, that much is sure.Β More threatening than most characters anyway.Β Unless you want to go with Gohan from DBZ.Β Unless of course if Gohan was on Earth and Vader was on the Death Star.Β Then Gohan would be done for. LOLΒ Actually that would almost seem like an interesting concept.

That's the best thing about these 'crossovers' it gives us the opportunity to wonder what it might be like if a character from one universe ever met one from a completely different one. Like how they put ETs in the senate in Phantom Menace!Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAPUGqβ¦

How can those things kill the Star Wars universe? There are some ultra powerful Jedi or Force Adepts you know in that time span. There must be. Interesting piece, though. I like that Vader''s helmet is partially gone and that you can see some of his face.

This Predator must be insanely skilled and physically strong enough to actually give Vader an extremely hard time. If Vader is that messed up and injured enough, more than likely he might be ending up as nothing more than a trophy for the Yautja here, and what a trophy he would definitely make. If this Predator wins, then he'll not only acquire Vader's head and helmet, but I can see him using his lightsabre as a trophy weapon. Definitely a cool concept here and definitely good to see the Predator winning over someone like Vader!

I don't know if the Predator could really do this to Vader - but I do like the idea of seeing Vader in a confrontation that we're not sure he could win, or where he at least takes a few licks before overcoming the enemy.

I love it, the damaged Vader is kickass though I doubt the Emperor is going to be pleased though. You definitely have what it takes to get something published and wish you the best of luck
