Branagar sure seems to have a strange habit of explaining his weapons and abilities to his enemies. Not a very good habit. Though, to be fair, he did wait until his plan failed, so there's no point in hiding it that much anymore.

I tried to portray Branagar as a person who thinks about himself as transcendent, and likes to show off with why he thinks that. Also I thought about it that his long speeches could have a second reason beyond explanation. Like a Mentalist, he lowers the guard of his opponent with long explenations, making him more open to hypnosis. But truth to be told that is a very dangerous tactic. Do you read Bleach? Zaraki killed a group of enemies and he is like: "There was the one who just couldn't shut up about how her ability worked. So I teared out her throat!" Oh god

Nah, I don't read Bleach, but I'm more than familiar with Kenpachi Zaraki. That sounds hilarious and perfectly in-character for him.
