I was rereading (cuz I love this) and think I noticed a typo....

(out of character): Uhm, problem, its been shown that Alucard is powerful enough to use his powers even without familiars through some of the last episodes all sunΒ light does is cause him some discomfort due to how powerful he is, well to be more precise he just hates it.

Well, while Seras and Integra leaves the zeppelin it can be seen that It's still very early in the morning, and the city skies were filled with smoke from the fires set by the nazis. So the sunlight wasn't that strong and direct, that's why Alucard could use most of his abilities. In this scene this is, already direct sunlight with clear sky.

We have seen him in mid-day with full sunlight though, maybe not really using his powers outside of phasing through walls but still and he did say that it doesn't affect him except for how he hates it. Also something that comes up later: we do know that he has someΒ human emotions, we have specifically seen anger, sadness, disappointment, disgrace (mostly at the low level and chippedΒ freaks who call themselves vampires), pride, and joy (I'm sure there areΒ a few others as well but those are offhand). From my personal understanding Alucard at the very end of the manga and OVA, had almost developed a little bit of a father-child relationship with Seras (specifically in the scene where he rubs her head saying my dear Seras), keep in mind I said almost, I wouldn't put it to that level but its in the general area based on how he talks of and to herΒ afterΒ he gets off the ship (which, based on what I could tell, he appeared to be forcing to move forward).
