This is my Mass Effect shortcomic The Solution. An Alternative Ending-ish thing. I normally just try to explain a few things why I think the Mass Effect game shouldn't have ended here.WARNING! CONTAINS MAYOR SPOILERS! YOU DON'T WANT TO READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED THE GAME YET!

Page 03: The shadows of past
The options offered by the Catalyst are the same which the Reapers used to control Saren and the Illusive man.
The Illusive Man was right after all? Wrong. the question still stands. "Will you bet Humanity's existence on it?
No matter how we look at it, Shepard is only a human. One mind. Every Reaper is a nation. Millions of minds. It is questionable if Shepard could control even just one, but try to take control over all of them?
Saren was proven wrong with Syntesis. His symbiotic connection with Sovereign was a lie. That can be seen when we try to talk him off. If he reacts and tries to change his mind he has a strong headache.
Improvement with Reaper technology is a great risk. A Risk that we shouldn't take. There is no victory without taking risks, but Syntesis is not a victory, it's a forced change in nature's order.
Universe demands diversity. Diversity demands Chaos. One can't exist without the other.
