Red Skull + Darkseid = Darkskull

Johann Uxas was a nobody. A nothing. A non-entity. Joining the Third Reich, he believed that he would be made into something greater. But he was still regarded as less than nothing, and it was only through sheer luck that he was assigned as a janitor to the Omega Cube project- the Reich's secret project to create the ultimate weapon. When the Superpatriot attacked the project, Johann used the opportunity to try and make something of himself. Johann used the Omega Cube to try and destroy Superpatriot, but only ended up sending him into his decades long hibernation. Johann, on the other hand, was consumed by the powers of the cube, and was thrown through space and time. Johann's body was infused with the cube's energies, warping and transforming his body, making him into a physical powerhouse but also changing his skin to a deep crimson color giving him his skull like visage. Johann arrived on a small, peaceful planet, thousands of years in the past. Using his newfound might, Johann conquered the planet, transforming it into a hellish wasteland he renamed "Apokalips." Now using the name Darkskull, he seeks to conquer the rest of the Galaxy with his massive army. Only his old foe Superpatriot stands in his way of total Universal conquest.

So, once I blended Lex Luthor and Doctor Doom, that kind of left the Red Skull with no one to blend with. Lex Luthor had originally been perfect to pair the character with, but since I went a different route, there was no one else really in the DCU that fit the Red Skull's modus operandi. In addition, I was considering blending Darkseid and Thanos, since they were also so similar. However, I was reluctant to do so since it had already been done before. Then I thought about blending the Red Skull and Darkseid, mostly because I thought their looks would really go well together. And, I have to admit, I think their looks to create an impressive image.
