I was inspired to draw this picture after seeing this cosplay: X-Men - Pixie - Costume TributePixie is really weird character. She was kind of just a secondary character in a second-tier book at Marvel, until Marvel decided that she was going to be popular for some reason.
And she seemed to connect with fans. At least with cosplayers. Probably because of her unique design which is more "cute" than sexy and offers some interesting design aspects.

That's true. I never really understood what made Marvel choose Pixie of all characters, except for the design. Blink I get - she was cool in both the 616 and the AoA universe, but I can't recall any story were Pixie actually stood up. :q
