I've always loved Robby the Robot since I was little. Robby (and Johnny 5) may have been the machine that started my love for bots. Undoubtedly, I probably also liked this robot because we shared the same name. Ha! I can remember watching Forbidden Planet a lot at my uncle's house as a kid but I can't imagine little 5-year-old me sitting through that entire movie!This drawing is the inaugural piece for the Robot-drawing-club 's new feature, Robot of the Month. ROTM is now the only exception to the RDC's long standing "no fan art" rule. Read more about ROTM here.
