Description
Based on a classic piece of 40k artwork dating back to the original first edition rogue trader rulebook, this piece featured the first appearances of what would go on to become some of the most famous space marine chapters and legions.

Over time a lot of these ideas changed or evolved beyond recognition and while a few of these chapters still feature heavily in the lore, others have faded into the background. However with the rise of Forge World Horus Heresy line and even the coming of the Primaris, many of these obsolete markings and ideas have found their way back into the lore, including the field police markings, graviton and beamer weapons and of course the lieutenant helmet stripe.

This was something a bit different to do and makes a nice display piece, although I worry the background is a bit busy and distracts from the rest of the image, let me know what you think?
