Drew this some time ago but was too busy to post it XP

Been a while since I drew something like this, a sort of #superorbot type thing, I watched a lot of Japanese robot shows and clips on the internet when I was younger, particularly the ones made by #gonagai I don’t know why I just think they have a very specific and interesting look to them.

This one in particular is inspired by #uforobotgrendizer which is essentially a giant robot that also doubles as a flying saucer, there was actually a drawing completion for this last year with the account@nextgrendizer to draw robots for it, there were a lot of good entries.

Star max, that’s what this guys called, is a spacefaring robot who doubles as his own transport, and comes to earth as an extraterrestrial defender against invaders. Whether he’s his own entity or a machine piloted by someone I haven’t decided yet, I feel like his design took a turn similar to other things I draw like my robot character changeman and my affinity for #mobilesuitgundam

It was nice to draw something like this, a detailed but kinda fun design without too much thought besides making it look cool, plus the technical design was interesting to work on, seeing how it looks in both vehicle and robot mode.

Oh and of course it had to be purple XD
