animan is superhero idea i thought up a while ago, based on the wild man antagonists of popular culture such as tarzan, mowgli, the amazons and of course, kamen rider amazon, but also on the shapeshifter archetype, especially animal shapeshifter like animorphs or perhaps altered beast.

animan is a wild, beast like superhero, intelligent yet noble, he roams the earth seeking to save those in need with his form changing abilities. in animal form he retains his color scheme and wild, white mane/hair but can turn into anything from a big cat, a gorilla, a large bird, a snake even to an rhinoceros and more. his claws can cut through steel and he has the ability to see far past any normal persons vision.

his secret identity always changes, but there is always a nod to his true self somewhere. he is also highly agile and can deal airborne kicks and punches, a rare ability he uses is when the markings on his body allow him to become invisible for a brief time.

while a strong warrior, his one weakness is the teeth of reptiles, while some are good, the most vicious species are his natural enemies.
