so i don't know if any of you use this method for drawing..anything, but for some characters, places, vehicles or anything else, it helps to draw inspiration from household objects, animals, buildings etc, and incorporate them into the picture to make something new. iv got a video game art design book and how to draw manga book that help with this.

for example, this robot is made out of:

1: an electric razor (head)
2:cola cans (arms)
3: a wooden door stop (chest)
4: butter pats (shoulders)

even the legs are cobbled together from stuff
bottle:legs
game controller arrowhead: shins
whistles:feet.

sometimes you don't need much to make something, thats what i think anyway^^
