Who knows how many times we've all seen this light... intangible, delicate, golden, mixed with mist... able to give life, form and depth to the landscape, just with a simple touch of grace
A kind of light which I love very much, maybe also because a little less inflated.

Not a sunset, not a sunrise... it's just the very first light of the day (after sunrise).

In addition to the usual shots with alpenglow taken the previous evening, and a few sunrise pics, in a place like this I've thought to take advantage of this subtle light to portray the geometric forms, so typical of this area!

In this shot you can see: Lagazuoi ridge, Lastoni di Formin (just the summit side), the massive mount Pelmo, Nuvolau hut (very small, but it is there!), mount Averau.

There is also a bird flying in the fresh morning air... and even a cable from the cable car, thankfully only visible in the high definition file. Unfortunately, the sublime natural beauty of the Dolomites is often spoiled by too many facilities of various kinds. That's a pity...

So perfect it looks like a 3D render.

The bird add this little something that makes the picture absolutely amazing.
I've been wanting to go to the Dolomites for a while now, can't wait.

yes! the Dolomites are so geometric in their shapes... in the right light are very reminiscent of some 3D rendering

The dolomites are truly wonderful, but my dream destinations are the Patagonia and Easter Island, I hope to go there soon!!

You're right, Patagonia is one of my most wanted destinations.
Los Cuernos del Paine looks mind-blowing, I'll definitely see them one day !

Thanks!
Actually the real alpenglow happens when the Sun is still below the horizon, in any mountains in the world (not only the Dolomites, as erroneously often said) in the morning if they are facing east, or during the evening if facing west.
In this case the sun was completely risen, amply above the horizon... this is just the first light of day, much less intense of the classic reddish/purple alpenglow, but as well elegant I think
