Description
Inspired by a true story of the daring rescue of 74 Sqd's CO, I thought I'd produce a piece depicting Al Deere's attack (and subsequent kill) on the 109 that strafed the rescue plane.Model + render - me,
Textures for both aircraft produced by Phas3e
Photo background - me (actually a photo of a place called Matamata, just south east of Auckland, NZ - just to make Deere feel 'at home

Yeh, we all know that streets weren't invented until after 1945.
Beginners error. Try harder. lol
Seriously though, great gallery. Enjoying your work.

why didn't you chose a perpective where you can't see the wheel of the plane? because that's the only thing wich doesn't look real on it
and it's very sad the street is on the picture, this doesn't make it look WW2
but it's a great work
still waiting for a tutorial

If you look closely you can still see the difference between the fighters and a background, and to be honest, I don't like the bullets here, but apart from that this is a really amazing pic!
I love the details you put in here. The aircrafts really look like the real thing.
Oh, and the guy who made textures for these deserves a huge tankard of good beer, or too
Amazing work

Cheers for the comment matey, and for the
I'll have a play with the blending + tracers
Yeah, the texture on it is something quite amazing, couple that with a decent material setup and normal map and you can get some pretty decent results.
