He is good, I have little doubts, though I can't understand half of what he says - it's like he's swallowing words.

As much of a David Tennant fan as I am, I have no qualms with Matt Smith. I can't wait to see more of Eleven! (Just hope that "geronimo" bit isn't TOO catching...XP)

Old school fan here, went through this back in the 80s when the Master pushed Tom Baker off a radio telescope and then Peter Davison sat up. It's old hat.
I was never worried about Matt Smith, still not worried. What Moffat will give him to *work with*, that's the test.

Hah. Remember when Christopher Eccleston quit and the news was released that David Tennant was replacing him? I bet ten bucks those are the same fangirls and boys screaming now.

I wouldn't say so. It seems like Eccleston would have a different fanbase than that of Tennant fans. I love Eccleston, but if I had to choose one, I'd say that Tennant has more audience appeal. Girls just really seem to dig skinny guys in pinstripes and spiky hair.

True. I was just thinking, you can't please everyone. And that I remember a lot of rants about how sucky Tennant would be. My sister was one of the Eccleston fans that changed their minds about three episodes in. She was the same when Martha replaced Rose and Donna replaced Martha. I think there might be a lot of general Doctor Who fans like that.
