Description So sorry for the lateness of this piece, but here she is, Jennifer Pierce, AKA Lightning!!!

Jennifer Pierce is the youngest daughter of Jefferson Pierce, AKA Black Lightning and the younger sister of Anissa Pierce, AKA Thunder.  Like her father and sister, she was born with a metagene, but it didn't fully manifest itself until she was in high school.  This further made her feel ostracized in high school, as she couldn't control her powers over electricity, which meant she ended up short circuiting any electronic she touched.  When Jennifer manifested her powers over electricity, her sister, Anissa was already a superhero, but realized her sister would need help.  So she contacted her team, the Titans, for help.  Raven's father, Trigon, was preparing for a major comeback to turn the Earth into a living Hell once again, so Nightwing proposed that the time had come for a new generation of Titans to be trained to face Trigon, and also to protect Jump City as well.  With the Titans in the midst of a huge recruiting drive, Jennifer found herself as Lightning, one of the Teen Titans!!

For Lightning's look, I was inspired by her look in Kingdom Come and the JSA Comics, but I decided to give her long straight hair, as I tried to give her the thunderbolts for hair, and realized that wasn't going to work.  Her hairband, I was actually inspired from the cartoon shorts on DC Nation, and from her appearance in DC Superhero Girls.  Yet like Prysm, Bombshell, Solstice and Cinder, I decided to keep her powers permanently activated, hence why she can't wear any clothes, else she'd disintegrate them into ashes.  She's the best friend of Stargirl, Cyclone, Nightstar, Impulse, Speedy, Robin, and especially Static as they share the same powers.  Though she's Cyborg's mentee, Lightning shares a beach house with her sister, as she has the perks of being a blood relative to the staff.

Disclaimer:  Lightning belongs to DC Comics, Mark Waid and the legendary Alex Ross.

Might be interesting to never be able to wear clothes.

Oh, that’s because any clothes she puts on in her current state will instantly be disintegrated; reduced to nothing but ashes.

yeah you mentioned that that was what you intended when you drew the pic.

Shame the lightning bolt hair didn't work out. Despite that, she came out good (the hairband is a nice touch).

Thanks!  I did add the lightning bolt pattern to her hair shine, as compensation.  The hairband was inspired from the cartoons she appeared in, and her friendships with Nightstar, Stargirl and Cyclone were both homages to Kingdom Come and the JSA comics she appeared in.  Of course, I'm also thinking of having her be in love with Jakeem Thunder, unless of course, you have any amazing suggestions we have come up with in the past.  I don't think I'll be drawing tomorrow night, but I'll definitely be planning to draw Defacer next, as she'll have an important part to play as part of the staff at Titans Academy.

Well, there is someone else whom Jen could be dating. That being the character Albert Rothstein/Atom Smasher. In the comics, he was in a relationship with Courtney Whitmore, but since your version of Courtney is together with Maxine, he wouldn't be with her. Also, a relationship between Jen and Albert could be a good nod to the one he had with Courtney in the comics; meaning that the other members of the Pierce family could be very strict with Albert, just like how the older members of the JSA were strict with him when he was dating Courtney in the comics. Considering that Jen is the younger sibling, her sister and father would be more protective of her, just like how character like Alan Scott were protective of Courtney, since she was one of the youngest JSA members.

Hmm, not sure if Black Lightning would like his daughter dating an older man...although how about another alternative: Jai West, son of the Flash, and a true Titan prodigy. It’d make perfect sense, as Jai could inherit his mother’s powers of elemental magic, and his father’s Speed Force related powers. This could lead to the two of them being a lethal combination in battle!

Doesn’t it? I’m even possibly thinking of adding in the daughter of Brainiac 5 and Supergirl.

Sounds good. There are some other characters I thought of too. A while ago, I suggested Power Girl, but instead of her being Kara when she's older, Power Girl could be the dark haired Supergirl from the comics, Cir-el. Also, there's the Native American character Miiyahbin Marten/Equinox, who was featured in some of the New 52 Justice League stories.

Oh don’t worry, I plan to add the Karen Starr Power Girl, since she’s so iconic. And I’ve never heard of Equinox before. Would she make good Titan material?

I think she could be a good addition. Here's the link to her character bio. comicvine.gamespot.com/equinox…

Ooh! I did a check briefly on her profile. It’d be nice to add a Native American member to the Titans roster.
