Tim Drake, AKA Robin, ready for action.

Timothy Jackson Drake was a special kid growing up. At age 3, he and his parents were present at Haley’s Circus on the night of a special performance, and got a family photo with the Flying Graysons. Yet this happened to be the Day that young Dick witnessed his parents plummet to their deaths. Tim’s parents kept in touch with him, but Tim was already quite a sharp minded kid.

During Dick’s time as Robin, Tim was able to deduce that Dick was the Boy Wonder given his acrobatic prowess. Unfortunately, he and his father were trapped in suspended animation due to being frozen by Mr. Freeze, and were sealed away until 2034, when Nightwing and Starfire freed those who were entrapped in ice by Freeze years ago. Tim was just 10 years old, and he and his father were in need to readapt.

Five years later, Tim had become a teenager trying to redeem himself as he had a record in juvie for 10 months. Trying to lead a normal life however was hard. One night, Tim had a bad encounter with a gang called the Jokerz, after trying to protect his then girlfriend Ariana, and fled to Wayne Manor.

Dick Grayson, now all grown up, helped save Tim from the hoolagins, and the two recalled how they first met years ago inside. Yet then tragedy struck. After accidentally finding the Batcave, Dick escorted the Boy home only to find out Tim’s father was murdered, and a nasty secret: Derek Powers, now head of Wayne Enterprises, was making chemical weapons. Bruce Wayne, now old and retired, refused to take action, but Dick had other plans, and so with Jason Todd’s Robin suit, and determination to symbolically avenge his father’s death, Tim was allowed by Bruce and Dick to help protect Gotham as Robin: The Boy Wonder!

Following the death of Jericho, Robin immediately accepted Nightwing and Starfire’s proposal to be a part of, and lead the next generation of the Teen Titans!!

For this take on Tim, I placed him in Terry McGinnis’ place in the Batman Beyond setting. This was a homage to his solo series in the 90s and 2000s. The look of his costume is inspired by his look in Batman: The Animated Series, combined with his first costume from the comics. He’s the protege of Batman, Nightwing and Starfire, along with his current girlfriend, Mar’i Grayson, AKA Nightstar, who happens to be his mentors’ daughter. At Titans Academy, he’s Nightwing’s mentee and confidant, as Dick trusts Tim as a leader. His Titans team consists of Nightstar, Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark), Static, Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), Miss Martian, Ravager, and Kid Flash (Bart Allen). He’s also best friends with many students at Titans Academy and the staff as well, as they have high expectations of him.
