Queen Perdita of Vlatava did not expect events in her life to play out the way that they did. At the age of 10, she found herself the new ruler of Vlatava after her father was suddenly assassinated by his brother, Count Vertigo. Luckily, her mother decided to step in as regent until her daughter turned 15. Five years later, when she finally came of age, her life took an unexpected turn. Like her uncle, Count Vertigo, Perdita tested positive for the metagene, but her metahuman powers were that she could absorb the properties of anything she touched. That power of hers would mutate due to intergalactic events. The White Lantern battery descended to Vlatava, and both Sinestro and Atrocitus desired it for themselves. Sinestro hoped to use it to recreate the universe in his own image, similar to how he shaped Korugar, while Atrocitus hoped to bring it to his master: Trigon, so he could corrupt it and use it as a weapon for inter-dimensional conquest. With the Justice League being called in to fight back against the Sinestro and Red Lantern Corps, Perdita made a last-ditch effort to help the League as her nation's queen, and touched the White Lantern battery, thereby absorbing its power. As a result, the lantern battery permanently bonded with her, causing her to lose her original metahuman powers, but in the process, it bestowed upon her all the powers of every one of the Lantern Corps. With her newfound powers, she was able to turn the tide and send the villains back across the stars from whence they came. Now, as a heroine, Perdita decided to leave to control her powers, with her mother once again acting as regent, while she took the mantle of Spectrum and became the newest member of the Teen Titans!
So, for this heroine, I was convinced by to make Perdita a superhero in her own right. I wasn't too sure about this idea, as I figured it meant she'd be too OP'ed and thereby replace all the superhero teams DC has established, which is something I have no intention of planning, by the way. However, I decided to give it a shot, see what you guys thought of the idea. She was also fairly easy to draw as well, as she's become one with the White Lantern battery. You may think this would make her a powerhouse in her own right, but all that raw power is just too much for one being to handle. Therefore, Perdita can only use 25% of the power used by the Lanterns. This is to prevent injury, or worse. Perdita herself is a Romuvan, meaning that she believes in the ancient Baltic gods. Thanks to an alliance with the Mongol Empire back in the 13th century, Vlatava has gained a reputation as a bastion of Paganism in Eastern Europe. The Eastern Orthodox Church has established an Episcopal See in Vlatava, but Christianity is a minority religion. As a result, Perdita is open and accepting to all peoples, regardless of religion or appearance. As queen, she is bold, courageous, but also naive, and the job can be stressful at times. Luckily, she has her ally, Tsar Brion Markov, AKA Geo-Force, to help her be a great leader and inspire her people. She's best friends with Blue Beetle, Nightstar, Shisansui, Kid Flash, Ms. Martian, Navezgane, Fu Ryu, Wonder Girl, Static and Robin. She is also the girlfriend of Conner Queen, AKA Green Arrow, as a way to get back at her uncle for all the times he tried to assassinate her, as well as a way to further distance herself from him by affiliating herself with his enemies. Being of royal blood, Perdita is Starfire's mentee, but also trains under Arisia Rrab and Fatality, so as to control her Lantern powers, and is sometimes seen hanging out with the other Lanterns at Titans Academy.

Ooh! I like the sound of Lyla becoming the avatar of the Black Lanterns! As for her appearance, I was thinking maybe one part of her old costume that could remain would be her helmet, as that was what made her stand out. Once people saw that helmet with the ponytail out of it, then they knew that it was Harbinger.

You know, that could work. Though I may have another idea for her helmet design as well. Lyla’s helmet looks a lot like the Corinthian helmet: the iconic helmet of Ancient Greek armies. Some variants of that helmet in Southern Italy have been found to have holes for the ears. So, Lyla’s helmet could resemble more of something like that, with the Black Lantern symbol engraved onto the brow plate.

That could work. She could still keep her Harbinger codename, as a reference to “Harbinger of Death”, or unlife at least

Ah, yes. I’m wondering if her power as the sole Black Lantern would also allow her to use constructs. And would her transition into a Black Lantern occur before or after Supergirl lands on Earth. If after, then it’s possible that she could be made a Titan prior to that, and be revived after Darkseid’s attack.

That first option for Janelle’s costume could definitely work! I’ll just need to make a few minor adjustments, like a different color schematic, different flares on the glove cuffs, a utility belt and whatnot, just so it doesn’t look like I’m directly copying that outfit. Actually, I was thinking that in Janelle’s astral form, the patterns on her face would change constantly, just like Rorschach’s mask did in Watchmen. I was also thinking of having Janelle be able to use an ability similar to Ino Yamanaka’s mind destruction jutsu as well, as a way to control her enemies’ bodies.
As for Gwen’s costume inspiration, it looks nice, but I mainly was thinking of it being samurai armor. I was also thinking that when Gwen is in her chrome form, one of her powers would also include the ability to breathe fire, as well as control water. A number of dragons, especially across Northern Europe and Asia, are associated with water, so those abilities could fit in with Gwen’s character, and this form could help her to banish some stereotypes most people in CA would have about dragons, as in the West, dragons are often associated with evil, and have even been used as allegories for demons or the Devil in places where Christianity is the dominant religion.

Oh yes! She is Connor Queen’s girlfriend. Not to mention that it would be her revenge against her uncle for all those times he tried to have her assassinated. So, if those two were to marry, that would technically make Connor the next King of Vlatava via his potential marriage to the Queen. That would be Vertigo’s worst nightmare.
