Super Rangers is a term referring collectively to Super Sentai Rangers in super forms. There are several kinds of super forms, some involve having single members of the core team transform, or the entirety. Some are exclusive to sixth rangers.The term "Super Rangers" was officially used in the finale episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, "Farewell Space Pirates". When the Gokaigers used an all-super form Gokai Change, the Mobirates called out "Suuuuper Ranger!"
Coincidentally, the first Super Ranger was Ryuu Hoshikawa/DynaBlack, who used the Battle Tector armour, then the second example of Super Rangers were the Fivemen team, which are composed of the Hoshikawa siblings.
reminder: I'm not doing Power Rangers power ups, except for Dekared. Because the costume of Power Rangers SPD's Battlizer for Red Ranger is used during Magiranger vs Dekaranger.

It's sort of tough to say what "powered" and what "protected" are; I remember the 30 Sentai Files in Boukenger specifically had to point out which was which, mostly the difference between stuff like their Acceltector (and the Five-Tector/Mega-Tector) compared to true Super Modes (Lights of Ginga, SWAT Mode, Legend Mode, etc) You could say the power protector is a prototype but it's just brain-squishing.

But then again. This showcases the ideas of how the Sentai armors are evolved and how they'd efficient in Sentai history. ^___^

It's tough to say though. I mean it is weird that Boukenger would go back to a Battle Protector after two seasons with Super Modes (well three if you count AbareMax but SWAT and Legend modes are definitely Supers), then nearly every season from then on (outside Go-Onger...and maybe Gokaiger though they did have the "Super" TF and Gold Mode is essentially a DragonRanger Shield with 15 Sixth Ranger Powers) has Super modes.
And the weirder thing is many earlier Sentai have greater power ups without needing more to wear. In Changeman, all they needed to do was to unlock the full potential of their Earth Force; no new suit but they do get an awesome Power Bazooka upgrade that Gokaiger homaged with the Greater Power. (hear Flashman has a similar upgrade with the prisms...and heck, heard even Gorenger changed to upgraded suits after a while even if they look the same)

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually like the way you put your suggestion unlike others, but I think I won't do it. Since he's using that "PMS" mode during the giant robo fights. And it's my rule to not do any mecha characters.

That's true, but Ninjaman isn't exactly a Mecha. So, neither is Samuraiman. He's just a lot bigger.

But as I've watched episode 44. Daimaou called Ninjaman, "Aoi Nisai (Blue Squirt)" while he is in normal size. Then he eventually became SamuraiMan at the same time, growing bigger. So it is stated that SamuraiMan mode is for mecha fights portion only. I would do samuraiman if Ninjaman can use it during normal (human) size. But it doesn't. so sorry. No samuraiman. ^_^
