Description
This is a drawing I did . . . oh, a year or so ago. It's Ryoko in graphite. I like how it came out, but her left leg is a little funky. I'm surprised I did so well with the hands, because usually I suck at hands.Related content

Thank you ^.^ Usually shading is a tough thing for me. Admittedly, I don't think it's perfect here, but I'm glad to know that someone thinks it's at least good.

No problem, I know how tough shading is, especially by using different types of values in my art class.

Reminds me of the value scales I had to do in painting class.

I took so many art classes in my senior year of high school...and I think I did at least two value scales, one in b&w and the other monochrome. I would have enjoyed my drawing class much more if I had a different teacher...but my painting class and...oh, I forget what the other class was...they were really awesome with really awesome teachers.

Cool, cool. I was going to be an art major, but as much as I love it, I'm just not serious enough about it to get a degree...so I might change my major whenever I go back to school.

hehe...well, that's good for you. ^.^ I wanted to go to an art school, but there was so much I needed to do to be able to get in, and I'm a professional slacker. And if I'm too lazy to do something like that, then what does that say? lol

don't let anyone tell you your art is not good, art schools usually destroy talent anyway. One of my teachers told me, art classes teach you drawing techniques, not how to draw. To better yourself in the drawing field it takes practice.
btw, do you have an icon of michael from whr?

Thanks for the encouragement! My art teachers in high school always told me I had a lot of talent. That always made me feel good.
I have some icons of Michael laying around. I don't have any in 50x50 if you want to use it for DeviantART, but I would gladly make one for you.
