anyway in Kaede's story this is canon. I'll explain it here real quick
her and her master were on a top secret mission to Mandalore during the time right before and during the siege for Mandalore. so while they are there Kaede meets Ahsoka while undercover in the marketplace. they gain a friendship there when Kaede ran her supply missions.
Kaede escapes Order 66 and is shortly after found by Torin who invites her to join clan Kryze. Torin and Bo-katan allow her into the clan in respect of their friend Ahsoka Tano.

Now we all know that Ahsoka fakes her death during order 66. afterwards before she leaves Mandalore she visits Kaede in secret after Torin and Bo-katan take her in. she helps Kaede get over some things(likes her master murder) and teaches her some strategies to hiding her force sensitivity. Which in turn helps Kaede be a better Mandalorian as she grows up.
