Description Another character that was exclusive to a video game, say hello to Atrocity from the video game Spider-Man: Edge of Time (a standalone sequel to Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions). In the game, Alchemax scientist Walker Sloan travels back in time from 2099 to establish the company before it was originally founded, allowing him to rebuild the company in his image and crush the competition before they even emerge. As such, Miguel O'Hara, the Spider-Man of 2099, attempted to stop him, but was temporarily trapped between dimensions, seeing visions of Peter Parker/Spider-Man being killed. After returning to an altered 2099, he eventually manages to establish a mental, chronal link to Parker, who now works for Alchemax, in order to warn him. However, Peter doesn't heed the warning and goes to stop a rampaging Anti-Venom, who's later revealed to have been under Sloan's control. Thanks to another gateway to Peter's time having been built, the time periods are linked, causing actions in the past to directly affect the future. When Peter arrives at the 66th floor (with O'Hara having arrived at his own 66th floor), he's confronted by Anti-Venom, Sloan, and a version of Doctor Octavius. Parker is temporarily killed, but O'Hara takes him to the future and puts him in a containment unit, allowing him to heal. Miguel then returns and defeats Anti-Venom, breaking the chips controlling him. Anti-Venom then attacks Sloan and Otto, with all three being pushed into the gateway, trapping the Spider-Men in each other's times. While attempting to repair the gateway (with Parker discovering that the future Alchemax's CEO is himself, having survived with an anti-aging drug), they are attacked by interdimensional tentacles, which are later revealed to be part of Atrocity, Anti-Venom, Walker, and Otto fused into one monstrous entity resembling a bloated Anti-Venom with Doc Ock's tentacles. After the Spider-Men return to their own times, Spidey eventually confronts Atrocity, who blames him for its creation and seeks to make him part of it, while O'Hara confronts the CEO/Peter Parker 2099. Peter manages to tear its tentacles off and throw them through the portal so O'Hara can use them against the CEO. In the end, Atrocity is punched into the portal by Spidey, erasing it from existence and restoring the timeline.

In the DS version of the game, Anti-Venom's role is instead filled by Rhino. As such, in that version, Atrocity is instead a fusion of Rhino, Sloan, and Octavius, with the CEO/Peter Parker 2099 being omitted entirely. Spidey apparently called it Atrocity because "Big Scary Tentacle Monster Thingy" takes way too long to say... and that Fin Fang Foom was already taken. He was joking, but still.
