Baron Flynt and Captain Flynt (those are their full names, not just titles) were brothers who were introduced as antagonists in the first and second Borderlands games, respectively, where they were eventually killed. However, in the third game, you could play as Zane, who is the third Flynt brother. He got lucky with his name, though that might be because Operative Flynt didn't have much flair to it. He's got plenty of gadgets, including a barrier, a drone, a shoulder-mounted camera, and a Digi-Clone (seen above). For some reason, Zane has an Irish accent despite his brothers both having American accents, and he shares qualities with a typical Irishman, including a love of alcohol. While he is an eccentric and wacky hitman, there's more to him than just that. He's good at his job and he loves it, but he's also troubled by it, and he cannot stand to see innocent children getting hurt. Zane's also got a fear of birds in every form, including as food, as well as a hatred of whales, stating that he "never trusts anything with a blowhole". Captain Flynt had sent assassins after him as a way of keeping in touch, with Zane sending their decapitated heads back to him as a response.
