When they rescued April from Krang, Donnie snagged a vial of dragonfly DNA. He thus used it to make April's final form, which Michelangelo calls Nightbug, named after a character from one of his comics (who seemed similar in appearance to April, with a sidekick resembling the Fugitoid). This form allows her to fly rather fast and gives her enhanced sight.

Yes, it is based on the version of April from "Bebop and Rocksteady Destroy Everything". The comic that Mikey got the name from is even meant to be issue #5 of that series (the final issue, in fact), which I decided to include for fun.
