I'm really disappointed that Jon is leaving Game Grumps, and it probably won't be the same for a long time. I haven't lost faith, though, unlike a majority of their fanbase. I believe that Dan could be a great Grump, but he will never replace Jon, let alone be the next "Not-So-Grump". Yes, I'll still watch the show, and I will keep laughing, even without Jon. I'll let him get to work on his JonTron videos, which I'm super-excited for!PS - Steam Train sucks and I hate it
PPS - DON'T GO TO THE GAME GRUMPS PART OF TUMBLR. You will only find depressed people who want to kill themselves over this.

I honestly don't get why Steam Train sucks. I mean, REALLY. What's so bad about an alt. show on the same channel?

i like both Jon and Dan because just for that fact of how different they are. Jon and Dan both bring different comedy to the show, and that's what makes it so good to me. They're not limited to just one KIND of comedy, it utilizes the best of both.

Jon's back and in my opinion, the recent episode was not worth losing my favourite comedy duo of all time. Jon and Arin Grumps is something I don't think I'll ever stop missing and I'll always be sad about it. Dan and Arin make me want to shoot myself.

i hope i dont get shot for this but , i love both jon and Dan. to me , they are both really funny. it may be because im a new fan and everything. anyway, dan can be really funny, and arin seems to be having fun right ?.

I have to say... I actually stopped watchin' GG's for a while after Jon left because I realy the way Jon reacts on certain things like: crying in fear or yelling!
But a week later I gave it a try and I have to say it's still funny as hell!
Danny didn't disapoint me in any way and Im SO excited to see the new Season of JonTron. I can barely wait for it.
Althought I have to say, Steam Train is not that bad in my opinion and Steam Rolled is pretty cool too.
But eh, opinions.

Well the first episode of Steam Train on Hotline Maimi sucked. Castle Crashes and Space Quest was actually funny

I just don't like that Dan says, "Not so Grump!" That's Jon's thing.

Dan is ok, but Jon and Arin had a real duality to thier personalities. Both could be wacky when they needed to, but Arin was usually a straightman where Jon was manic. Arin was typically good at games whereas Jon could be argued to be less so. Dan and Arin are both kindof the straight man so the show feels too samey. Two funny straightmen doesnt really have the same clash that makes J&A so good.
I might warm up to Dan once they move into some games they aren't so familiar with; Watching them stumble through a game they know nothing about will bring more laughs than them making smalltalk while Dan stomps his way through games he's played a million times.

I think Arin and Jon had been talking for a while about Jon going back to do his own JonTron stuff, so I think this isn't a sad thing. It's not like we won't be able to get our fill of his shenanigans. Just head over to his channel!

the second episode of Steam Train was actually quite good. I think it'll get better as time goes on.
Also, Danny is pretty great. I'm really looking forward to more Mario, actually.

I agree that Dan is Funny, but you are right hes no Jon. And thats ok. But Steam Train so far has been terrible. i haven't been able to finish either of the 2 episodes they have made so far.

Steam Train will get better.
And poor JonTron will be bashed and battered from all the people who want him to grump again even though he is doing this for his fan base.
Honestly, I wish him the best and I think Dan is pretty funny so far.
He is not a Jon, nor would I want him too be, for it would be too close to replacing him when I am happy to find the Grump Family growing. Game Grumps, with or without Jon, is an experience. Jon was just one hell of a Not So Grump.

everything was so sudden, thats why people are bitching. if they had brought team train earlier and then ode to Jon it might have settled better. the intro really bugs me he should say " I'm kinda Grump" or something but dan and ross seem okay. won't be the same.. but i think everything will be okay.

The problem with Steam Train is that Ross with his animations, and Dan with his musical numbers, are used to scripted comedy.
while Game Grumps on the other hand, is all about an inprov-like comedy.
Arin is still in normal game grumps so he can bounce his comedy off of Dan and keep throwing it back.
but in Steam Train, neither Ross, nor Dan has anything to say in an improv-like manor, so they just look around for something funny.
You just have to give them time to cope with this change.
