Description
Well, after failing a decided majority of my other goals and tasks I was supposed to do in the last three months, I finally completed this one... a week too late. Screw it. So I discovered that there really aren't any good sound compressors for the quicktime format, and the good ones might as well not be compressed at all. This is the best I could find.All is not bitter, though...

I finally got to see this cause Gerritt came home and had it on his computer. I can't believe how funny this was, especially the orthodontist line and the punchline at the end. And Jerry's rocking in this too. Ee! Excellent work! ^_^

Well, I did finally see it, a while ago ( remember) but I guess I'll finally post. If I remember correctly, the only thing missing was bionic bigfoot.... well, you've created another reason for me to run like hell form doctors. and doing actual animation! I can't wait to see the wacky misadventures of Rocket Head, la pirate de easpacio, and Rocket Head's flying Hand/Sock Puppet thing! ...and Bionic Bigfoot dammit!

What a great intro! Very well done. It is sad about the compressors (and it's painfully evident through the stereo) but we all know in our hearts that quicktime sucks. And I really like the way you integrated the theme song into it. When he was flying through the air in and around the title text was very similar to what I was imagining when I wrote the song. And coming from another user of 3D Max (kinda) This is amazing work that I don't think I'd ever be capable of. Good job!

I love the movement of your characters. All the doctors in this piece crack me up. I have to say I especially like the scene where they're running the future "Rocket Head" to the emergency room. The movement is great as well as the modeling and character design. I think the design of those doctors is far too amusing.
Bwah... I'm just recently learning how to use Lightwave... And it hasn't been all that easy... Makes me wonder how long it took you to make this and your other 3D pieces.
At any rate... you do very fine work!
My only critique is that quite a few of the voices don't sound very distinguishing from the others... But... This was all voiced by mainly one person, eh? But besides that... They did a great job with the voice acting!

Yeah, the only compressors available either destroyed the music to beyond poop, or the horribly mangled the voices. With Quicktime, you can either have one or the other in a somewhat reasonable filesize. The only ones that sounded okay were the the ones that still made the file 28 megs +, and the image part of the file is only 3 megs. I just used a sound compression that actually made the file less than ten megs, but equally destroyed music and voice. When I reduced the sample rate to 22,000 kHz, it just did some wierd stuff so I left it at 44,000 kHz. I wish Divx and mpeg layer 3 sound compression were more universal, because I don't think this file should have been over five megs for this kind of quality.

And now I think I see the purpose behind those evil-looking doctors!

Man, if I could use a different file format, I so would. But no- everyone agrees on how much Quicktime rules and should be the only video format.

Hahaha.. I had to watch that twice... very, very amusing! I like the whole "he thinks he's a super hero" part.. very cute. I really like the animation.. I am partial also to that guy at the end that's saying something about a dismembered guy that had an accident at.. the tractor pull? I don't know.. lol Don't mind my rambling.. I'm pretty fraggin' tired. But I do like this animation a lot. It seems like you put a whole lot of work into it. Who cares if it's a week late.. it's done, isn't it?
