Ah, yes. I love the King of Fighters. This here is actually my first attempt at copy, for the purposes of study on proportions, shading and clothing folds. By far, this fan art piece of my favourite KOF fighter, Mature, has undergone A LOT of change, almost nowhere near what it looked like when it was first completed.

This took me a while to finish, but its by far the one piece of which I had spent a lot of time and dedication to. In fact, if I had either Illustrator or Photoshop, I would have given her a little color and flare!

Dont mind the little side note near the top right. Its a little extra over my excitement to find out that, in the storyline of the game series, she is still alive. I'm not sure where she makes her re-appearence but I'm ever looking for it now.

I took a lot of risk shading her in, as Im not very good at it. Apologies if it seems a little off balance in some areas. All of it has been done with a HB pencil so I had to tweak the scanning prefs a little to make it a little darker, at the consequence of showing all the nasty impurities.... Oh well, I guess I gotta take care with pencil lines next time....
