Also this will be like the one time I copy my comment over, since I know some people actually used it for their headcanons (and blESS YOU GUYS TBH) :

"Well, the concept of "Unity" always was stressed pretty hard in the Bionicle storyline. Therefore it doesn't make sense to me that two characters can't essentially.... well, unite. ... *points at their heartlights* Lemme shoot something at you quick; I have a fan theory on how two MU characters can get it on. You know how Kaita from by three Toa focusing on each other and their unity? Well, two Toa may not be able to physically form a Kaita, but my theory is that if they focus on each other's unity, it will create a synergy of their two spirits which is emotionally and physically fulfilling."
