Actually the background is a just a normal Photoshop texture. The piece is cut out in the shape you see, so I had to put something back there so it didnt look so dull. It's all custom framed now, though. Maybe I'll post a picture of the frame later.

the background is just there for show. The actual piece doesn't have it there. I do my own custom framing...and it's completed. maybe i'll post the framed piece up.

yikes... this peice is very bold, like all your peices i see.. its also quite macabre or dark.... makes me think of the word "pain" when i look at the image. was that what you were trying to get across?

the piece stems from pain. sort of. it stems from emotions. pain is not only a physical attribute, but also an emotional one, so it does indeed play a part. it is the taking of life and the giving of life. it is building of dreams and destruction of hope. there's so much more about it that i can say, but i would go on forever.
